What is Dose?

Dose is a percentage measured as accumulated exposure to noise.

According to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the U.S., 100% Dose occurs for average sound level of 90 dB over 8 hour period.

Example:

Dose would double for each 5 dB increase over 90 dB.

If average sound level is 100dB, Dose is 400%.

If 80 dB, Dose is 25%.
