How to understand numbers on SoundMeter+

SoundMeter+ has two main windows. The first window is "Sound Level Meter" window. The second window is "Noise Exposure Meter" window.

The "Sound Level Meter" window provides:

(1) "Average Level" Panel - sound pressure level.

(2) "Max/Min Hold" Panel - max/min levels.

(3) "Colorful Bar" - instantaneous level.

(4) "Weighting" Panel - A/B/C/D/Z weighting (click here to see what are A/B/C/D/Z).

(5) "Range" Panel - range for measuring.

(6) "Response" Panel - speed of response.

(7) "Hearing Health Message" and flashing display item if dangerous noise happens. 

When pressing "Noise Exposure Meter" button, user will go to "Noise Exposure Meter" window.
